Innovating in traditional industries is never easy, and human resources was no exception. A Tulane professor that has been focused on diversity in the workplace wanted to create a platform to get historically challenged students and recent graduates in front of quality opportunities. And boy we did.
From the beginning it was clear that this had to be forever free for students, and that we had to give them instant value. We wanted to create a conversational experience where they would learn about how to market themselves to the world, and use the answers to create a "perfect one page resume" that they would use to apply to job opportunities. The jobs side was the "easy" part, as it would all be about company profiles, job openings, and matching them with the community.
Hive has been a force of good that created tens of thousands of job opportunities. Companies like Disney, Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, Accenture, American Express, Dentsu, and the Detroit Pistons are improving recruiting efficiencies for candidates everywhere while engaging candidates earlier and more equitably through programs and events focused on introducing careers throughout the college experience.
