Kamba, NYC-based fintech company, providing a consultancy on alternative data for many years. There is a lot of manual work involved, including having to review the data sets, connecting suppliers and buyers, and keeping up-to-date on all the interactions. They approached us with a bigger vision: transforming this high-touch consulting model into a scalable SaaS data-marketplace platform.
01
/ Challenge
Everybody is generating data, and lots of businesses don't track it, much less monetize it. On the other hand, prospective buyers of alternative data—VC funds, institutional investors, hedge funds, and financial analysts—expect structured, trustworthy, and immediately usable insights. Kamba needed a scalable way to connect both sides and partnered with Kubikware to build a SaaS solution.
02
/ Goal
Automate the full deal cycle: onboard suppliers and buyers, put every dataset in one place, let buyers find and evaluate data, and handle communication and purchases on the platform. Buyers also needed a test environment to validate data in real time before committing.
03
/ Solution
Solution We built Kamba Data Exchange, a SaaS marketplace for alternative data designed for financial services. The platform handles the full deal cycle: suppliers and buyers onboard on their own, datasets live in one catalog, and conversations and purchases happen in the same place. We also built a test environment so buyers can validate data in real time before committing.
04
/ Outcome
Kamba went from a consulting business to a SaaS marketplace. What used to take weeks of emails and calls now happens on one platform, and suppliers can reach buyers without Kamba managing every deal by hand.
