Media company Headliner set out to make PR more accessible for small and midsize businesses. This is the story of how they built a hyper-local, easy-to-use PR platform with Kubikware’s nearshore staff augmentation team. Today Headliner delivers your news exactly where you need it, and exactly where the others simply can't.
01
/ Challenge
The traditional PR model is sometimes out of reach for many small-to-medium organizations. It's too complex, too expensive, and it doesn't reach the right audience. Headliner wanted to build a hyper-local PR platform that solved these issues but lacked the internal engineering capacity to bring it to life.
02
/ Goal
Build a PR tool anyone could use without training. Users had to be able to write, manage, and send press releases, then choose who receives them: Headliner's local media database, their own contacts, or both. Flat fee, no subscription.
03
/ Solution
Our nearshore engineers joined Headliner's team and built the platform around one idea: a business owner should be able to send a press release in a single sitting. Log in, write the announcement, pick the local outlets, send. After launch, we stayed on through a maintenance retainer.
04
/ Outcome
A hyper-local PR experience where writing, targeting, and sending news is fast, simple, and affordable.
08 / Next Cases

We gave communities a voice
One of the largest media groups in the US needed senior people in data engineering, full-stack development, and QA. Year after year, the work has grown, and Kubikware is now Advance Local's go-to tech partner.

We built families together
Modamily's family-matching app was live and carrying technical debt. A React Native and Node pod stabilized it, then moved to a monthly retainer that has kept it running for years.

We supercharged revenue cycles
Adonis needed scraping and RPA work its in-house team had no room for. A senior nearshore pod with healthtech experience joined their workflow and helped the AI revenue cycle platform release faster.

We accelerated going to the movies
AMC Theatres gave itself one year to bring assigned seating to Android. A tech lead and three senior engineers built it alongside AMC's team, with real-time seat locking, and delivered on schedule.

We had trucks grow air wings
Growing through acquisitions, Fleetworthy needed senior .NET engineers who fit a highly collaborative culture. Seven out of ten candidates we presented were hired, and the pod has stayed for years.

We tinderized finding a home
A founder wanted apartment hunting without filters. In FlicFlat, renters take a short quiz, the app scores every listing in real time, and the best matches show up first in a swipe feed.

We gamified coaching
Ibis had an early version of idea+, its leadership coaching tool. We rebuilt it in Node.js and React around game mechanics and connected it to the LMS platforms companies already use.

We revolutionized alternative data
Kamba ran its alternative data business through manual consulting work. We built Kamba Data Exchange, a SaaS marketplace where financial firms test datasets in real time before buying.

We wholesaled caviar
Petrossian handled every restaurant and hotel order by hand. Our Magento developers built wholesale into the existing store, with automated inventory and billing, while retail kept selling.

We built live trivia fun
The agency behind HQ Trivia had milestones to hit and no time for a long hiring process. Our engineers helped ship key features and live streaming, and part of the team stayed on to maintain the app.

We reinvented the resume
HelloHive gives students a free resume builder and employers a way to recruit them. We helped build the platform, staff it, and hire for it. Disney, BlackRock, and American Express use it today.

We baked an online store
Levain Bakery needed a full redesign and a move to the latest Adobe Commerce, with every integration intact. We treated it as a new build and delivered a faster, more stable store.

We simplified client finances
Altair Advisers' client portal was outdated, and no one had defined what should replace it. Our discovery workshops set the direction, and we delivered a full redesign and design system ready to build.

We streamlined toll systems
Bestpass combines tolls from more than 40 authorities into one account for commercial fleets. Its teams needed senior .NET engineers, so we embedded a nearshore pod across them. The partnership is still going.

We shared decision making wisdom
A breast cancer surgeon wanted patients to understand every surgical option and feel empowered to make informed decisions. For Toliman Health, we built Breast Advocate, a free HIPAA compliant app with evidence based guidance and a patient community.

We trained telehealth's future
Two founders with medical backgrounds brought early designs for a telehealth platform. We built MomentMD's mobile app and web portal, with video visits, scheduling, and chat, all HIPAA compliant.

We made staying really different
Furnished Quarters had no tech team and too many disconnected systems. We gave them a booking platform where guests reserve and sign in a single visit, synced with Salesforce.

We made offices feel better
Delos had MVPs to build and infrastructure to improve. Two frontend engineers came first. A DevOps engineer joined later to work on Terraform and new hosting.

We put the out in checkout
Grabango had three months to put a checkout-free MVP in front of key clients. Our senior React Native engineers reported to their VP of Technology and shipped it on time.

We connected minds together
ForLikeMinds needed a new team for its Ruby on Rails platform after leaving its previous vendor. Through a maintenance retainer, we keep the community platform stable and improving.

We mastered project builds
Dynamic Resources builds retail spaces for brands worldwide. Working from their designs, our team rebuilt the mobile app crews use on-site and the portal where every project gets tracked.

We consolidated haul compliance
After joining Fleetworthy, DriveWyze had to grow engineering as fast as the business. Our senior engineers took on critical maintenance and early features, keeping its weigh station bypass system stable through the growth.

We shook hands across borders
An AI powered referral exchange platform for real estate agents, built from design to launch and supported ever since.

We made cyber complexity click
Years of quick fixes had slowed NetDiligence's eRiskHub down. We rebuilt the portal with role-based views, better search, and a drag-and-drop builder, so admins edit dashboards without a developer.

We flexed mobile fitness
SoulCycle had a new Android app and the UI for its At-Home device on the roadmap at the same time. Our mobile, backend, and QA engineers joined the team and kept releases on schedule.

We guided digital adventures
NatureQuant needed its NatureDose® app on iOS and Android by a hard deadline. Two senior iOS engineers started the work, an Android engineer joined later, and the app launched on time in both stores.

We gave risk visual impact
A brand and web platform rebuild for the company that sets the standard in cyber insurance, structured so different visitors get taken somewhere different.

What the field hears, leadership now knows
An AI app that turns what field sales reps hear into weekly digests for leadership, built for a century-old industrial distributor.

We made fashion perform
Creative agency Sweden Unlimited needed eCommerce sites for three fashion brands, each with its own identity. Our dedicated teams built them on Adobe Commerce and Shopify.
