Founded over a century ago, this family office operates an industrial product distribution business whose competitive edge has always come from its field sales force. Their reps walk contractor counters, sit across tables from customers, and pick up signals long before they show up in any report: a competitor raising prices, a vendor slipping on lead times, a longtime customer starting to look elsewhere. The problem was not a shortage of intelligence. It was that all of it died in text threads and people's heads before it could reach anyone in a position to act on it.
Challenge
The company needed a way to capture what its reps were already hearing and seeing every day, without adding steps to their routine, and get it in front of leadership in a structured format each week. That required rethinking the whole flow, from how a rep logged something in a parking lot to how a VP saw it in their inbox on Monday morning.
Goal
The goal was a program where reps could log what they heard in under ten seconds, leadership would get a structured weekly briefing without having to chase anyone for updates, and anyone on the team could ask what the field knew about a vendor or competitor and get a cited answer almost instantly. The whole thing had to run without forms, analysts, or manual effort on either end.
Solution
We delivered a solution that systematizes intelligence information for quick and strategic decision making: we built “Company Intel”, an ai-first app that lets reps log what they hear by voice, text, or photo in a few seconds, with an immediate confirmation showing what the system understood so no submission ever feels like shouting into a void. Leadership gets automatic, organized digests organized by competitive theme, region, division and salesperson. The field force was already doing the work every day. Swan Intel made sure it did not disappear before anyone could use it.
